How to insert furniture blocks in AutoCAD?
1. Launch the CAD program and open the drawing you want to insert the furniture file.
2. Go to the Insert tab and select “Block” from the drop-down menu.
3. Select a library from either the current drawing or an external library, depending on where your desired files are located.
4. Select the desired file from the list and click “OK.” The furniture will appear in your drawing at its default size.
5. Move, rotate and scale as necessary with AutoCAD standard selection tools and commands, such as grips, Move, Rotate and Scale commands.
How to scale blocks furniture in AutoCAD?
1. Select the furniture that you want to scale.
2. Click on the “Modify” tab in the ribbon bar, then select “Scale” from the submenu.
3. Enter a value for the scaling factor and hit “Enter” on your keyboard. For example, if you enter 2, the selected object will be scaled up by a factor of two.
4. You can also use AutoCAD’s “Stretch” command to scale furniture objects. To do this, click on the “Modify” tab in the ribbon bar and select “Stretch” from the submenu. Then click on two points to define a line along which you want to stretch your object, and hit “Enter” on your keyboard when done.
